Vichy Capital Soleil Invisible Mist

It's been a hot and sunny summer so far here in Vancouver. We're known for rain, but not this time around! In fact, it's been so sunny that I had to religiously apply my sunscreen before going out. Even on a cloudy day, the sun rays can travel through, and regardless of the season, the protection must always be worn! I wasn't this wise before, and recently learned that:

  • Snow reflects up to 80% of UV rays
  • 80% of UV rays can penetrate heavy cloud cover
  • Water reflects about 25% of UV rays

What you'll need to fully protect yourself against UVA rays (the aging rays), is a powerful formula with high enough SPF (at least 30, but preferably 50+).

For the last few years, I've been using Vichy Capital Soleil sunscreens, and recently got my hands on Vichy's new Invisible Mist. The mist is very easy to use everyday, dries quickly, hydrating, and smells refreshing. Best of all, it leaves no greasy residue. I have incorporated the mist into my routine and it worked out well - a definite must for the summer!

PROS:

  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Formulated with Vichy Thermal Spa Water
  • Refreshing fragrance
  • Paraben Free
  • Alcohol Free
  • Hydrating
  • Easy to use packaging
  • Dry touch
  • Lightweight texture
  • Pleasant on skin

CONS: None

It's been a pleasure to use. I spray on hassle-free right before I leave for work.

Value: 5/5
Quality: 5/5
Performance: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5
Price: $$$

Overall: 5/5

Would I use it again? YES!

All done / Hit the Pan

It's been so long since I posted a hit-the-pan post. I have recently moved and de-cluttered, re-designed my daily routine, organized my stash, and started using up every product imaginable. It's been productive. I've acquired so much over these last few years.

It's finally over!

Here is a list of products I really enjoyed using: TRESemme FreshStart Refreshing Mist - Smells fresh and works reasonably well for most hair
Victoria's Secret Lemon Paradise Hydration Lotion - VS lotions smell amazing!
Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Intensive Age-Renewal Eye Cream and Day Cream - works well, but very costly
La Roche Posay Effaclar K Anti-Relapse - quite nice, smooth and delicate texture works wonderfully for oily or combination skin
ModelCo Lipstick and Gloss duo - wonderful, creamy lip product, but the packing was poorly made, it broke down on me after about a month
Essence Cover Stick in True Nude - really great concealer for super cheap! I've already purchased 3 more

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me - works so well on dry lips
Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Roller - lovely scent
Delon+ Moisturizing Butter in Mango - so soothing! I would love to get it again
Elizabeth Grant Exotic Apricot Shower Gel - luxurious and nourishing
Vitamin C Daily Moisture Lotion SPF 30 - it was so good that I got another!
Sunsilk Captivating Curls Conditioner and Shampoo - one of the best for my frizzy hair
Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Cleanser - soothing and non-irritating, works well for aging skin
Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Conditioners and Shampoos - smells great, and gives so much more volume
Alpha Hydrox The Original Enhanced Lotion 10% Glycolic AHA Anti-Wrinkle + 10% Cream - one of the most talked about products actually works! I am now on the hunt to get some more
Lancome Bi Facil Double Action Makeup Remover - this is my 3rd and it works so well that I've gotten more
NYX HD Foundation in Nude 01 - Amazing! This is already by 4th and I'm now using my 5th bottle. It blends so well.
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara - so great, it's definitely my favourite
