Mini Haul / Revlon, theBalm, NYX & More

I've dramatically decreased my makeup and skincare spendings in the last few months because I've been subscribing to both Glymm and GlossyBox Canada. I am using the samples that came in sampling boxes, and everything else I own until it's all empty. I feel such extreme guilt if I don't use the products I buy. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to resist these impulse buys:

  • Missha M Vita BB Cream with SPF 20 - I love it! Skin felt so smooth afterwards
  • Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light - not too shabby, review to come!
  • theBalm Shady Lady eye shadow in Caught in the Act - impressive! and it was on sale
  • Sally Hansen Salon Effects Polish Strips in Kitty, Kitty - these are purrrfect for a night out!
  • Nicka K Body Shimmer - perfect for that bronzed body look
  • Revlon Grow Luscious by Fabulash with Colorstay Eyeliner - this mascara is awful, and one of the worst for summer weather. I think I will be throwing it out, but keeping the eyeliner
  • NYX Shadow Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese - I love it! I've been using it daily.

P.S. Don't forget to enter my Summer Giveaway!

Face of The Day / Maybelline Color Explosion Amethyst Ablazed

I've had Maybelline Eyestudio Color Explosion for sometime now. The product price ranges from $5.99 to $10.99. I believe it is a good deal for the money. The quality is also not bad, and is much better when used with eye-shadow primer. It doesn't hurt to try it!

This eye-shadow is a 5-shade palette that includes a liner shade, a light base, eyelid shade, crease shade, and a luminizing silver top coat.

The light purple base was not as pigmented as the rest of the palette, but overall, I was happy with final results. I can even wear the liner by itself. It's a nice deep purple colour.

PRODUCT LIST:
  • DiorSkin Nude in 010
  • Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Stick Concealer in Light and Medium
  • Clinique Pore Refining Solutions - Instant Perfector
  • theBalm blush in Hot Mama
  • Rimmel Lipstick in Frosted 272
  • Yves Saint Laurent Mascara in 01 Black
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel
  • Spectrum Cosmetics Eye Primer
  • Maybelline EyeStudio Color Explosion in Amethyst Ablazed

Face of The Day / February 15 / Purple Shock / 15 minutes look

It's been raining quite a bit, and while I've been feeling down, I thought it would be a great idea to cheer myself up by adding a hint of bright purple eyeliner to an ordinary look. This look in fact is very simple and took me about 15 minutes to achieve! :)

Collective Haul / Holiday deals, overindulging, and guilt!

I did some shopping before Christmas and after Boxing Day. The majority of items were on sale at local drugstores and such, while theBalm.com  had a 40% off event during Black Friday. I've also crossed the border for some cheap Wet n Wild makeup....ahhh...it is surprisingly good for the price. The lipsticks and lip balms were only $1 or $.50...that is 50 cents! A rare sight here in Vancouver!

I love amazing deals in America. I always think...Only in America! Only there you can get such discounts...such an abundance of products...which is probably a result of overproduction for over-consuming individuals like myself!
