It has taken me weeks to finally make a list of the items I have received as gifts and bought as presents to myself of course. The Holiday Season was busy this year...as there was barely any time for blogging. I've simply put the items away, for now, in its original packaging until the day when I can finally make the time to take photos! And today was that day. My absolutely favourite is Prada Candy - smells like sweet vanilla. Delicious.

Clinique Pore Refining Instant Perfector minimizes the appearance of pores for a smooth and virtually flawless look. It is best used with finger-dotting technique and blended over pores alone, over or under makeup for touch-ups. In my experience, this perfector works best over liquid makeup, bb cream, or concealer. The mattifying effect is great for shiny t-zones, and gives my skin a smooth, even look. Overall, it lasts for many hours, and I don’t have to worry about blotting my t-zone. The pores disappear immediately. The result will be a matte, evened out skin tone with an airbrushed effect. However, this effect is only temporary, and the formulation is not an actual serum or a treatment. The key is to use a small amount, and not to overdo it, as the build-up could cause flakiness and easily rub off.

It's been raining quite a bit, and while I've been feeling down, I thought it would be a great idea to cheer myself up by adding a hint of bright purple eyeliner to an ordinary look. This look in fact is very simple and took me about 15 minutes to achieve! :)

Yes, this post is late, and yes, New Year's Eve is long gone, but I've been too busy and too lazy to put it together until now! :) It took me over 1.5 hours to accomplish this smoky eye look, and of course, my hair being so wavy took me over an hour to straighten. The majority of eye shadow is actually samples I've received from La Coquette Cosmetics. The quality is quite good, but the dark shadow needed quite a bit of shadow poxy / primer. Overall, I was quite happy with the result. The smoky eye look lasted for many hours, and took some 15-20 minutes to remove the makeup using the delicate eye remover Lancome Bi-Facil.

Here is a look I've done a few days ago using BonneBell Cafe Classics (retails for less than $5). The end result is natural and fresh! No eyeliner nor mascara...but a hint of sheer moisturizing lipstick. Now that it's cold and windy, I am wearing a lot more moisturizer (with SPF 15) to protect my skin from drying out. And after applying moisturizer, I wait about 5-10 minutes before I apply a primer. For this post, I decided to try Lise Watier Base Miracle which is quite good! I will soon review the products I've used in this look.
