Being a communication designer, I can't give up subscribing to magazines. The glossy or matte paper will never compare to an iPad, and the ability to study an editorial 'in depth' without any distractions is still better than looking at it on screen. Plus, it's not right to let magazines die out: "print is one communications medium among many and that to be a true communications company one must be conversant in all media, strategically and holistically." Personally, I appreciate photography, graphic design, advertising, and writing a lot more when I see it in print.

This medium is important and I will help save it. Take a look at some of my current subscriptions:

Today I have played with Lise Watier Due Eyeshadows in Ocean Bleu that I've picked up months ago on sale at London Drugs. I believe I payed $16. One of the looks uses just the lightest blue, while the second includes both. This look is inspired by Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2011. For full list of products see the end of the post.

I've been weak. Very weak to resist good deals! I decided to get the new basics - maxi skirts, leather jacket, pumps + other things to show you in the near future as I am still in the process of taking photographs of my new stuff.

Boo! I have purchased these in May and yet, I didn't wear it, not even once! Unfortunately, they are very high, possibly 4.5 inches, and being 5 feet and 8 inches, I turn into a 6 feet tall glamazon. Yikes!

Until Spring/Summer 2012! Or shall I wear them with...tights?

I've picked this up for under two dollars at Forever 21...out of curiosity. The claim: Soothing and Purifying. The mud mask is a unique combination of dead sea salt and exceptionally soothing natural ingredients such as mango, orange, aloe, and lemon. It deeply cleanses your tired skin and drains impurities from within, leaving skin clear and radiant.

Oh boy. I know I shouldn't have, but I did! I bought more stuff that I don't really need. It feels good to buy things that look good on me or works well. It gives me a mini-high, like as if I just had a bowl of ice-cream! Reviews of the products to come soon!

I am a newcomer to makeup. I've had only two or three eye shadows eight months ago! And only recently started to develop my skill. The one here is from before July 12th, and was originally posted on my tumblr and makeuptalk.com. The list of products used is after the photos.

Would I buy it again? Only if on sale! 

I am so glad the 70's looks are back this fall/winter! I have a slim, but curvy body, and look best in flared, wide legged jeans/pants. I have a few pairs of skinny jeans that almost never fit around my calves...and look too sexy for work. Today I picked up these wide legged high waisted jeans on sale for $50, they still retail for $218 online! These jeans are stunning, well-made, flattering, and very elegant: perfect for work!

I've been flipping through August/September/October issues of Elle Canada and digging through online fashion websites. And saved most recent adverts and editorials that have that 70's feel.
